With your support CCHR has filed over 3,300 complaints with federal law enforcement agencies and state and federal legislators against psychiatric facilities across the nation. These complaints include information we have obtained through Freedom of Information Requests.

We have been getting major traction on these complaints!

For example, in just the last week, two different states have responded to CCHR! One of them has stated that they will be conducting a statewide investigation into the chain of psychiatric hospitals that CCHR had filed complaints on. Another state legislator emailed us personally asking us to draft model legislation that would launch a statewide investigation!

CCHR Sounds the Alarm: More Than 1 Million 0-5 Year Olds in the U.S. Prescribed Psychiatric Drugs

This past week CCHR issued an online press release bringing to light the fact that over one million 0-5 year olds in the U.S. are currently prescribed psychiatric drugs.

This data, purchased by CCHR from IMS Health, the largest and most credible source of prescribing data in the U.S., is staggering: 274,804 babies, 370,778 toddlers and 500,948 preschoolers have been prescribed psychiatric drugs so powerful that they carry 386 international drug regulatory warnings. In total, the number of 0-5 year olds prescribed dangerous and life-threatening psychiatric drugs is 1,080,168, all before most have ever entered kindergarten.

Many parents do not know that these drugs are in fact life-threatening. For this exact reason CCHR created its Parents Know Your Rights page that gives parents the tools and information they need.
