The latest “research” on the cause of the epidemic of military suicides is utter garbage and a complete insult to the men and women of our armed forces.
Unimaginable stress, irrepressible memories, psychoactive prescription drugs make lethal combination. Is it the post-traumatic stress from repeated tours in war zones or Big Pharma’s drugs that are being used to treat it?
We are living in an age of upside-downs, where right is wrong, fiction is truth and war is peace. Those who fight the wars are subjected to their own house of mirrors via pharmaceutical “treatments.” Instead of providing U.S. soldiers and veterans with actual health care, the government throws pills at them and calls it “therapy.”
There’s no mystery, but people talk as though there is. Some leaders in the Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as some psychotherapists and other citizens, express puzzlement about why, in the last 11 years, the rates of suicides, family breakdown, substance abuse, and homelessness among war veterans have steadily risen.
