A new study, published in the American Journal of Psychiatry and headed by psychiatrist John H. Gilmore, professor of psychiatry and Director of the UNC Schizophrenia Research, claims to be able to detect “brain abnormalities associated with schizophrenia risk” in infants just a few weeks old. We would like to point out the obvious flaw in this bogus study; there is no medical/scientific test in existence that schizophrenia is a physical disease or brain abnormality to start with. There is not one chemical imbalance test, X-ray, MRI or any other test for schizophrenia, not one. So with no evidence of medical abnormality to start with, the “associated with schizophrenia risk” amounts to what George Orwell called Doublespeak (language that deliberately disguises, distorts, misleads)—it means nothing.
For decades, psychiatrists and Pharma have spouted lines to the press and public amounting to, “researchers now believe” they have medical evidence of schizophrenia as a physical/biological abnormality, or “new evidence suggests” evidence of schizophrenia as a real disease. But despite millions of dollars in research funds and countless tales of “belief” —no evidence to support the theory. One of the most common tricks employed by the Psycho/Pharmaceutical industry to mislead the public, legislators and the press, is to take X-rays or brain images of people who have been long-term users of antipsychotic drugs (known to cause brain atrophy/shrinkage) and then claim people with schizophrenia have smaller brains. They’ve spouted similar studies on kids with ADHD having smaller brains, but the bottom line to that study was that the kids with smaller brains, were…smaller kids. These are just a few of the many PR spins employed by Psycho/Pharma to try and maintain the “belief” in psychiatry, in their credibility as a science. As evidenced by the recent statement of psychiatrist Allen Frances, former DSM- IV Task Force Chairman, this belief is falling apart even within their own ranks, “There are no objective tests in psychiatry-no X-ray, laboratory, or exam finding that says definitively that someone does or does not have a mental disorder.” —Allen Frances (And Frances isn’t the only psychiatrist exposing the fraud of the biological brain disease model; click here for more.)
The logical question the press should be asking is what are the American Journal of Psychiatry and “the Director of UNC Schizophrenic Research” really after? What is their goal?
As we have exposed in the article “Australian Psychiatrist Patrick McGorry Wants His Pre-Drugging Agenda to Go Global” there is a concerted push being headed by Australian psychiatrist Patrick McGorry and other pharmaceutically funded psychiatrists for the global implementation of a new mental health paradigm; preventative mental health, i.e., pre-diagnosing (diagnosing children before they develop a “mental disorder”) and pre-drugging children ( before they show “signs” of the mental disorder). There is an obvious push for the same pre-diagnosing and pre-drugging agenda with this latest study, which claims ”major cases of schizophrenia are usually not diagnosed until a person begins witnessing its related symptoms like delusions and hallucinations as a teenager or adult . However, by that time, the disease [notice the term disease despite no medical evidence of disease] crosses the stage of preliminary treatment and is difficult to treat.” In other words, if we wait to administer drugs to them it may be too late. That along with Gilmore’s statement, “It allows us to start thinking about how we can identify kids at risk for schizophrenia very early and whether there are things that we can do very early on to lessen the risk.” This is the pre-diagnosing, pre-drugging agenda being pushed and the new “preventative” model of mental health that is more akin to a Brave New World than anything previously witnessed. And this latest “study” tells us infants are also on the agenda.
And finally, to psychiatrist and lead study author John H. Gilmore, we think you should take a lesson from the former National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Chief of the Center for Studies in Schizophrenia, the late Loren R. Mosher, M.D. who stated in his letter of resignation to the American Psychiatric Association, “The fact that there is no evidence confirming the brain disease attribution is, at this point, irrelevant. What we are dealing with here is fashion, politics and money. This level of intellectual/scientific dishonesty is just too egregious for me to continue to support my membership…After nearly three decades as a member it is with a mixture of pleasure and disappointment that I submit this letter of resignation from the American Psychiatric Association. The major reason for this is my belief I am actually resigning from the American Psychopharmacological Association. Luckily, the organization’s true identify requires no change in the acronym…”

Absolutely sickening and disgusting! I’m appalled and horrified at the sick audacity of these individuals. Who do they think they are playing God with children. Good article, thanks. Add into this the recent Executive Order signed by President Obama on 10 June, to set up a council to study “behavior modification.” Yes, it uses those words. Oddly enough, the FDA is not represented, but the Secretary of Homeland Security is a member. The last paragraph is interesting, too. To me it reads as if no one can be sued, or otherwise held accountable, for anything this council decides. Here’s the link, please read it for yourself. Am I surprised? No. You really have to ask yourself,’when are people going to finally wake up to this rubbish and get the monkey off our back’? People need to get educated and just say an emphatic ‘NO’ by voting with their feet. All funding to Psychs should be pulled immediately. Sanity has to prevail if we are to have any future at all.

The American Psychological Association is the same “medical” organization that supports psychologists’ participation in the interrogations of detainees at Guantanamo, CIA “black site” prisons, and elsewhere. After all the news articles about the APA’s condoning the actions of military psychologists engaged in torture, it has lost all credibility when it comes to recommendations as to what is needed for our psychological health.
The plan by the APA to drug up our children from birth on under such blatantly untrue medical evidence now proves that it is a dangerous organization. From my viewpoint as an active member in Amnesty International USA, it is a “homegrown terrorist” organization as well as a violator of human rights.

There is evidence for a physical characteristic in the brains of schizophrenic people, it does not mean you have the disease, only that it is more common in people with schizophrenia. The lateral ventricles are more likely to be enlarged in a person with schizophrenia.
Because babies brains are still developing, they want to know how this characteristic develops, it is not related to NWO etc, because scientist have been interested in this for many years.
It is not about medicating or hurting babies.
Actually Nonon, this is yet another “researchers now believe” claim. Lets start with the obvious flaw with it; are people given a “test” for their “lateral ventricle enlargement” prior to being administered an antipsychotic? Any of the millions of people diagnosed “schizophrenic” and put on drugs? No? Well why not? If such a test exists, then surely psychiatrists would insist on evidence of physical abnormality prior to administering the drug. Secondly — send the proof. Not the “claim” — send the definitive peer recognized proof that shows conclusively schizophrenia is due to lateral ventrical enlargement. And ensure that whatever study or press release you are citing includes all the relevant data on the claim including whether or not the patients tested were drug naive (never been on drugs) the amount of research subjects, the names of who did the study/research and the peer review of that scientific study. If not, this claim just gets added to the “researchers now believe” list cited above. As far as it not being about medicating or hurting babies, the fastest growing market for antipsychotic drugs is infants and toddlers. So yes, it is about “medicating” and hurting babies. They are already being “medicated” “hurt” and killed by this bogus science (psychiatry) and their killer drugs. If you want evidence of that check our psychiatric drug database of Medwatch reports for under 1-year-olds on antipsychotics.
Peter McGorry I thought at first was being used here but reading more of his site shows just how their PR twists the reality of what they intend. I’m sure his example will be used nefariously however by other groups. Really just takes one person unaware of the can of worms they are opening and their intentions do not matter one bit once the reforms have gone through there will be more human labrats. Dr Mcgorry has been given an australian of the year award which could be seen as a whore of babylon award.
If these people knew as much about brain healing as they did about brain damage they might actually get somewhere. The only treatment these people need is massive doses of vit d3, full-spectrum amino whey protein, hemp seed oil, chia seeds, removal of artificial light, colours, flavours preservatives from the diet, correct sleeping patterns, to get out into the wilderness and sungazing (the sun is the perfect food for man, do some research). Drugs in their very actions lead to bipolar disorder, their very action is to perturb the natural behaviour of the brain and are a bandaid, any long term exposure to any drug leads to worse damage then the first condition and the more dependence upon it. Actual psychiatry and pharma-psyciatry are very different animals the latter is simply drugdealers probably less knowledgable then your street corner pusher playing roulette. These doctors you visit are not researchers they don’t know a damn thing about their drugs they simply get company lines and peer review crap. Anything that the peer review does not accept or understand or does not suit their corporate agenda will not be printed. The same trickle down controllers own the journals as the chemical companies.

I read somewhere that schitzophrenia in its classical sense with halucinations is caused by ergo mold common on wheat. One woman I know diagnosed as Schitzophrenic never eats properly, stays up all night falling in love with russian sailors on some dating site or other and had what i would describe as an absent parenting leaving her uncommunicative and therefore isolated plus her lax diet gives her female type mood swings which make it easier to leave her alone. I think Stupid, mis guided, lazy definately but schitz? Nah come on.

This shocks me, I have worked in the field and know that a babies liver is not developed enough to take medicine, especially the strong medicine given for Schizophrenia. Leave the babies alone.

I think some behaviors could be noticeable in a baby, but to medicate them? What’s the purpose. Medication doesn’t cure it, or are they using infants as guinea pigs trying to get billions in funding claiming to look for a cure? They’re now putting some ADD kids on blood pressure medication claiming it helps, but don’t know how it works exactly on the body!

Honestly this post is quite misleading. Have folks actually read the text of the study in question? The researchers were primarily looking for support for the neurodevelopmental hypothesis–and freely admit that the abnormalities they identified may simply be familial endophenotypes (not indicative of actual schizophrenia but merely of genetic risk). There is no evidence whatsoever that the researchers are planning to target infants psychopharmacologically. (If that’s your claim, please actually quote a line from the study to that effect.) And yes, there are dozens of studies showing brain abnormalities in antipsychotic naive patients. Honestly Al Read you are either misinformed, one of those promoting these bogus theories or just don’t read the fine print on those studies.
So here is a study just published showing that antipsychotics are the cause of the brain abnormalities – its not “schizophrenia” its antipyschotics.
