The so-called “War On Drugs” has a new battleground – your doctor’s office, where the unholy alliance between the pharmaceutical and psychiatric industries presents a pseudo medical model that inflicts addictive, chemical abuse on innocent victims while lying to the public with “sales science” and calling it medicine. Their drugs are nothing more than variations of the very same illegal drugs the government has spent billions of dollars fighting—not because they care about you, only to preserve pharmaceutical sales. Make no mistake; a drug is a drug—pushed or prescribed. They are all toxic, and psychotropic pharmaceuticals are far more toxic to brain tissue and the liver; diminishing quality of life, causing multiple addictions and ultimately resulting in disease and death—never health and wellness!
My life is dedicated to reclaiming lives from psychiatric drugs and exposing psychiatry for what it is; a gang of white collar drug pushers robbing our society of every resource that supports it right down to our future; the children.
As a scientist and licensed practitioner I want to educate all those interested in what is causing the epidemic mental health crisis of today, how to avoid it, how to get off of psychiatric drugs if you are on them now, and why toxic drugs should never be sold as medicine.
My work is toward a medical model for all mental health issues to be based on patient outcomes and not profit. This is accomplished with Orthomolecular Neurochemical Rehabilitation (ONR).
I wrote Green Mental Health Care – How to Get Off & Stay Off Psychiatric Drugs because the psychiatric patient with Prozac in his/her medicine cabinet is in even more danger than the crack head smoking crack. This is because the crack head knows they have to stop smoking crack to get well—the psychiatric patient thinks they are taking medicine and that their condition is the best they can hope for—when neither is true. They don’t recognize the fundamental truth that drugs injure the body and mind – prescribed or pushed.
To sit on the sidelines and do nothing while I watch people suffer from the effects of psychiatric drugs is not an option. I know what these drugs do to cells, tissues, critical organs and brain function and I can’t just turn my head because everywhere I turn I see more pain and suffering while Big Pharma continues to make bank and control society. They are literally using our money against us, forcing out all evidence-based holistic options that should be sponsored by public medicine like pharmaceutical drugs are. They are using our taxes and out of pocket cash spent on their drugs to buy lobbyists in Washington to get pro-Pharma laws passed and forced medical practices pushed through such as the Mother’s Act, the language of which is now in the health care reform bill. Come on, the notion of giving an antidepressant to a pregnant woman? These drugs are extremely harmful to grown adults; can you imagine what they do to the development of a fetus that doesn’t have the functional maturity to even try to protect itself from them? They will stunt every process of development in that child and already have been shown in numerous studies to cause birth defects.
Psychiatric drug use is particularly destroying the youth in our society. The vast majority of the mass school shootings are done by young adults on psych meds (see www.ssristories.com). People will say, “Well, that’s why they were on meds, there was something wrong with them” or “They weren’t taking their meds, therefore they went crazy.” Don’t believe this for a second, kids have been going through all the challenges and discomforts of adolescent bullying, ostracism etc.… since the beginning of time and it wasn’t until our toxic health care system started drugging them that they started taking guns to school and initiating mass murders.
Psychiatric drugs are responsible for increased car accidents, domestic violence, emergency room visits, hospital admissions, diabetes, cancer, aneurysms, tardive dyskinesia, suicide, violence, they are more abused by school children today than their illegal counterparts. As the damage these drugs do to the health of our global citizens takes its toll, they turn once productive people into parasites of society as we pay through our taxes for their subsidized housing, health care costs, and SSI/Disability payments monthly. Is it their fault? No- after all, they were told to take their medicine to get better—the only fault is that they believed their doctor whose practice is dictated by the “standards of care” created by a corrupt Big Pharma. We are all suffering the deluge of destroyed lives by these drugs and humanity as a whole is becoming crippled by them. I want to help stop the pain and suffering these drugs cause and teach what is causing their symptoms, how to find out what is the root cause, and how to cure it and live this one precious life we all share in the full spectrum capacity they were born capable of living it. I want to see humanity flourish and witness the beauty we are capable of creating on this planet. I want the planet to be inhabitable by my grandchildren and I don’t want them forced onto drugs for being children.
Government agencies are now forcing children to take drugs if a psychiatrist labels them with a “mental illness.” And they are calling those who speak against the government’s toxic health care initiatives “terrorists” and “crazy,” incarcerating and drugging them. The day I always feared has now seen its dawn; we are losing our right to refuse “medical care,” even with the volumes of evidence piled up that proves it is harmful, toxic and does not deliver its recipients to health. The people are too fog-brained by and addicted to their pushed and prescribed drugs in their food, environment and medicine to see what is happening and reclaim their lives and the potential of humanity that “God” is capable of. People are literally chemically lobotomized today and it is a pandemic.
You are no longer a freethinker if you are addicted to a drug, be it pushed or prescribed, and people are becoming more and more compliant as legal drugs become more and more prolific in our society. Only someone addicted, misinformed and symptomatic would find it plausible to believe that a toxic drug is a medicine and that that “medicine” has any chance of producing health and wellness. Big Pharma has done a very good job at creating masses of people who are addicted, misinformed and symptomatic in a very short period of time. The drug companies now have undue influence over our medicine, standards of care, our government and the FDA. They have become so powerful that they run our government to the point of using our own police to enforce laws that are unconstitutional that require parents to drug their children if their child is diagnosed with a mental disorder. Parents have had their children taken away for refusing to give them psychiatric medications! Yes, our own police officers have removed children from homes because their parents wouldn’t give them legal cocaine (Ritalin)!
This book is my contribution toward helping them get well and bring them from the dark corners they have quietly suffered in, into the light of health and wellness, hope, and the empowering feeling of being embraced by the love and compassion that those of us have for those harvested by the pushers of toxic “medicine.” With each person I detoxify and help to natural mental health, I am building an army of healthy environmentalists. By making the decisions you need to make to get well—starting with the needs of an individual cell to get well, you will by default become an environmentalist helping the planet detoxify and survive as well. When we discontinue the demand for the products that are making people crazy, we take their power and ability to buy Washington, the FDA, the NIH and their front people, psychiatrists (grants, ghost writing payoffs, schools, etc.) away. Our medicine and laws will become patient outcome driven as opposed to profit driven and those toxic chemicals that are causing disease, death and loss of quality of life will no longer be pushed upon us and offered at every turn of our head.
Believe it or not, we live in an era of “harvesting” and people are being harvested by psychiatry for future income. The pharmaceutical companies that are making the laws that force their drugs into people now pave the way for psychiatry’s methods. Psychiatrists are being sent to grade and intermediate schools to evaluate our children, they are the first “doctors” people being incarcerated see, elderly people in senior homes are being drugged to death. If you lose a loved one and are sad you get drugged, if you get in a car accident you are drugged, if you have anxiety about finals in college you get drugged, if you are going through a divorce you get drugged, if you’re not good at math you get drugged, if you speak against the government you are crazy and drugged. Psychiatric medication prescriptions skyrocket for those 65 and older, psych drugs are being pushed on television, in newspapers, magazines and through schools. The unholy alliance between Big Pharma and psychiatry is causing more deaths yearly than any illness if you consider not only the suicides and murders, but the diseases they are associated with.
Big Pharma and psychiatry are literally sucking the life out of humanity and destroying the ability to achieve the quality of life people hope to reclaim when they go to their doctor. Touche!!! Thank for this. I was one of those who had been dignosis with mental illness (depression). Thankfully I have done research on herbs and alternative medicines and am doing better than I have in my entire life. Never again will I ever take another drug for mental illness. I now know how to cope with depression and know what herbs and vitamins work best for me. It took me a few years to figure out the best combination. No different than a doctor trying to do the same and they were never successful. Am glad to say this combination is working well with me.

Because of the amount of years I spent as a mental health patient and because I do not have professional health credentials, when I speak on these topics and try to alert others as to what is really going on, I am met with blank stares. What I do know is this: At age 44, my doctors told me I would spend the rest of my life on medication and in and out of mental hospitals. However, when I took my life and my health into my own hands, did my own research and became my own doctor, I started to thrive. I’ll be 60 in a few weeks and I have never felt better or accomplished more than I have in the past 15 years.
This is an excellent letter. Thank you for bravely telling the whole truth. I am so saddened and angry about the destruction of humanity by satan – the drug cartel and the media. I have had many years living with the unthinking medical community and wonder if they have not been truly brainwashed since they do not see the truth about their profession.
“At first do no harm” was thrown out the window decades ago. My greatest sorrow is our babies being poisoned with 36 vaccinations before they are 18 months old. This destroys their futures and changes families forever. I know God is in charge and if we face the truth about being created not evolved and put our faith in His return to judge those that are the destroyers we will one day be blessed to live in a perfect new heaven and new earth. I am a nutritionist in Israel, and because there are almost no orthomolecular practitioners here, I have begun taking schizophrenic clients. Besides one young man, who meanwhile is getting along pretty well on risperdal, most of my clients are suffering more from the drugs than from the psychosis. It’s beyond my legal rights to tell them to get off the drugs, but I feel like telling them, “Stop the drugs. I don’t know how to treat the side effects. If you become schizophrenic again, I know how to treat that!”. Of course I’d never tell them that, but I am trying to educate these clients and ecourage them to work with their doctors to lower doses until they are free, supported by vitamins and other natural healing.

A BIG ‘Amen’ to that! (Even though I’m a Buddhist)
I firmly believe that, in addition to the Cascadia BHC (Portland, Or.) Shills who pushed Anti-Psychotics (Risperdol, Zyprexa) on me for no reason, the Catholic {or: The ‘al Qatholic’ Church, as I’ve come to call them; sorry Dr. Petrali! They deserve that one!} Church has been manipulating my Doctors to ‘make sure’ that, “Leaving the Catholic Church is Crazy – and PAINFUL’ (that IS a Quote, from a Catholic Doctor; though I’ll only ever ‘prove it’ if…..do you know what “being put on a Line” is? How about “Line Abuse”?)
You see; I have a Neuropathy (HNPP) that is STILL UNACKNOWLEDGED – by the SSA, or anyone else in The Fed -even though I’ve filed TWO Applications and TWO Appeals with the SSA; and for the Neuropathy, NOT a Mental Illness; I made the Mistake of asking to ‘try’ SSRI’s, and have been being ‘punnished’ for “faking a mental illness”.
When I asked Dr. Barry Egener (‘not so’ Good Samaritans, PDX) to help nme prove that, after being served an ADA Violating 30-day no-cause lease termination, in June of 2003, he said that didn’t see ANY Files from my Very Good Neurologist, Dr. Jau-Shin Lous {OHSU, Portland, OR.} in my Circulating Medical Charts; he said that all there was in it were Docs that said I’m “Crazy”.
Wrose yet; he then sent me to see a Dr. Ginnochio {Adventist Hosp.} – another Neurologist, who was supposed to replace these missing Docs.; who then created material that says HPPP – with the ‘N’ changed to a ‘P’!!!
I had the First of my Two Appeals processing at that time; and, when I was sent, by Dr. Egener, to the see (the Doctor who I can’t PROVE said the offensive remarks above), Dr. Cheryl Brischetto – to have my ‘Psychiatric Status reviewed’ (which shouldn’t have mattered – as was, and AM still, DEMANDING that the SSA drop the Mentally Ill BS, and acknowledge my Neuropathy, with – at the most – a ‘footnote’ saying I’m occasionally Depressed) – she then confirmed that Dr. Ginnochios incorrect HPPP Docs were STILL in my Chart (he’d sent ME corrections – but, for some mysterious reason, she’d never gotten them!); refused to remove them, then sent them to the SSA anyway.
I should note that I think this was part of a scheme to help Cascadia BHC to get out ot trouble for not only taking part in the deliberate mishandling of my SSD Claims (accusing me of being a Crack Head, Tweeker, & Pot Head, who was trying to find a ‘new drug’ to ‘get high one’, while ignoring my ever-more-Intense Chroinc Pain), but also to get out from under taking responsibility for the (alleged) Suicide Death of one Jessica Dolin; a former (Jewish, Dyke, supposed Dominatrix) friend of mine (and JUST my friend) and peer-councilor of theirs, who was probably actually Murdered by Anti-Semites on or about May 17th, 2003.
Thus, I’ve reported this to the FBI, and Oregon Senator Ron Wyden; though I’ve gotten nowhere – probably because I’m “crazy”, and they don’t care that a Jewish dyke supposedly killed herself; especially when their LIABLE!

Thank you for speaking out. I was forced by my former employer to have (one) psychiatric appointment..this appointment was after I reported 2 incidents of pornography running on my work computer. There was also administrative wireless remote control access on my computer and spyware. I have had 4 identity thefts since then as well. To make a long story short, I was given the ultimatum to take four types of medication at one time… antipsychotic drugs, mood stabalizers, and anti-depressants or loose my job. Guess what…I lost my job because I was not given any other alternative other than to be drugged up against my will. All this because I reported porn on my work computer. Thanks you for speaking out!
The second opinion that stated I could return immediatly was mysteriously lost….four time? Imagine that? I’m still unemployed after 18 years. My advice….never…ever subject yourself to psychiatric care!

Your article is exactly what My son has experienced for 44 years. He has been hospitalized 66 times and druged…at one point, given 5 different psychotropic drugs at the same time!!!! The frequent hospitalization was due to the fact of refusing to be drugged…consequently he was restrained, drugged and taken to the hospital….drugged drugged etc. At the present time we were fortunate to find Dr Bonnett who is following Orthomolecular Phychiatry….With a Lithium AM…Found he has food allergy….on personalized nutrients… Organic foods…and a very Tranquil Environment. I personally believe is one of the neglected missing link. I have seen an EXTREME improvement in just 2 weeks. He needs to tell his story to the world….

i have just go through your article now . i have been working as staff nurse here in india and i am for psychiatric department with 10 to 15 patients,. i too have noted that the drugs given by my doctors causing much more physical weakness , tiredness, goes to reduce the weight. and some are asking food even at the late night.
i would like to introduce a doubt that , these patients are making lot of problems in the society and the family members as physical harms too. we are discussing about the problems of these drugs , then how can we meet the problems of the violent patient,or how will we treat them ?

I have been advocating (as a mother) for my son for over five years now; he spoke out against the vile and corrupt justice system and their contemporaries and was immediatedly labled “crazy and administerred involuntary medication” as well as drugged and put into a mental health facility. I know my son is not crazy – I know him better than anyone – he knows he is not crazy….but noone will listen and now he is incarcerated and being manipulated by the correctional officers in the neiborhood where I live. I might add, they are trying to do the same to me; anyways, he was sent home from the mental institution with six different types of meds – he did not want to take them as they vegitated him, and I concurred with his thoughts and feelings. Three days later his parole officer came barging into our house accusing him of exposing himself (which I know is a lie because i was with him all day – he was not out of my site for one minute – needless to say, he was violated by his corrupt P.O. not for exposing himself, but for a bb gun i had to ward off unsprayed unneautured male cats that hurt/harm my cats in my yard. anyways, he is now being tortured in high desert state prison for another 5 months. i have written letters and tried to get these people exposed for years; no one believes either him nor I (there are a few people who believe us because they have witnessed their corruption in action) but no one who can allieviate this horrid harrassment and torture my son has had to endure now for five years. I just wonder, when will it ever end? I’m about at the end of my rope. Your article above has given me hope to hang in there and keep trying. A big thank you to you!!!

Thanks for your educating the truth about psychiatric drugging. My mother was dead by 52 because of what psychiatry did to her and I said that would never happen to me. However I ended up a patient taking psych meds and my health was going downhill rapidly. I knew there was something terribly wrong and thru research I reversed my health naturally. I have been an advocate since 1972 for CCHR in Toronto and continually educate others and especially parents about the dangers with misdiagnosis and labelling kids and putting them on these dangerous drugs which are masking the real symptoms. Many kids have allergies, vitamin deficiencies, toxicity and other health problems. These drugs just mask the symptoms and can lead to many other health issues. I even speak out at lectures at the university about the truth of these dangers and tell people to get good medical check ups. Thank you again for speaking the truth and for giving your pamphlet free to help others become more educated.

I wish to speak out on the hormonal issues with women and the over medication that takes place. Women need to learn about hormonal balance and the many causes of depression. Many young women on traditional birth control have no idea that depression can present or increase . Depression in females is often based on hormones and co factors . I can make my book No More Menopause …redirected to these issues. In 1984 I presented at the first conference on menopause. My paper was on Depression in females , how we needed to look for the cause and not place everyone on Valium back then. I hope that I can work to bring a workshop to your group that can help further education and creation of options. Hyla can cover the general pych issues, Andy is an expert on mania/depression and has seen what the drug companies are doing,Don Tyson is the genius who brought amino acids into our treatment world. You should also have a special panel for kids and teens . We need kid psy /parents / peds mds and nutritional specialist on that workshop. We need to have these on going so that the public learns more. It will take years of hard work but we need to have a educational system to help people transition .

For the most part, I feel the Drs do want to help the patient, these drugs are very difficult to take and have terrible side effects. everything from making you sleepy, slurry, drooling, loss of motor functions, bladder functions and kidney damage and hypertension.
I wish there was some way patients could reach the developers of drugs to see what products could be adjusted or removed to better serve people with sensitivities.. there are many good drugs to use ,. and the over all problem of the STIGMAS of having to use them is a battle mentally ill people cannot overcome themselves. Police and justice systems strong discriminations make it impossible to get help when you are victimized.. and the worse the situation is, the more you are labled..its not a matter your history should be confidential. Cops and the court system in IL abuse patients with mental health issues if you are political in your opinions about the inadequate way the depts serve the public.
Although I am in the field of psychiatry, I enjoy your website and agree with many of your ideas. For several years, I have been concerned about the pharmacological direction psychiatry has taken over the last several decades. Unfortunately, this direction appeals to many people in our society, not just psychiatrists and people in the pharmaceutical industry. Many patients are angry if they are denied a prescription. The problem is compounded by the fact that it is extremely difficult for researchers to find funding for research outside of “biological psychiatry”, making it even more difficult to question this direction. Occasionally, a journal article will surface that shines a light on the pharmacologic assumptions that modern psychiatrists interpret as facts. One article surfaced recently showing that treatment with SSRIs did not seem to be any better than placebo. This article was helpful, but more objective research is needed in order to convince people, including psychiatrists, that it is a good idea to question the operating assumptions of psychiatry. I think thoughtful members of your organization could help many of our policymakers to seriously question the unthinking pharmacologic assumptions behind psychiatric treatment. For example, these policymakers could earmark research dollars to re-examine the assumptions about the efficacy and safety of pharmacologic treatment. I would be interested in hearing from others who have been successful in generating interest in objective research about pharmacologic treatment in psychiatry.

Hi I first got into the mental health system 10 plus years ago. I am not crazy. I felt very depressed and low self esteem due to a difficult child hood and adult life. I did not know what i was getting into. I was forced to take meds without knowing what I was getting into. I had to take meds to get into special housing. I dont think i needed the meds. they did nothing to help me and i gained alot of weight from them. Then I took initiative for myself and got off the drugs and went on natural antidepressants. I have been off for a few years and went from a 2x to a size 10 and slowly loosing. I still am depressed but am doing better- I am attending college and have a b average. I am pretty much finished with the mental health system. I have a therapist and do attend groups but they dont help much. I dont know what is wrong with me. maybe I had a break down or just needed to know that im loved and accepted and where i fit in. I feel ashamed for being in mental health, and feel like a looser because i’m poor and in this. I live in mental health apts and feel ashamed to be living in such a place. But I am grateful for a safe place to stay until i can get on my feet. Some of the people in mental health are low functioning but not all are. They treat alot of peeople like they are kids.
Why only Green non toxic “Mental” Health? Why not also Green “Physical” Health? How do people find safe doctors and other health providers? Anyone have a list for both mental and physical health care, not just of “alternative” doctors and and other health care providers but also the traditional doctors willing to let patients know and choose alternatives?
