Drugged to Death; Our Kids and Our Troops

Today, one of the biggest problems we have, and one of the things that shocks so many Americans, is the rise of teen suicides and the rise of school shootings. Yet all we hear from the corporate mass media on the shootings is “Well, we need to take the guns away.” Let me tell you something, I went to school in Texas. We took guns to school. Nobody shot anybody. So what’s changed? Drugs. Kids on psychiatric drugs. Nearly every school shooter in this country can be shown to have been involved with psychotropic drugs—either taking them at the time of the shootings, or what can be even worse, coming off of them. And teen suicides? Read the FDA black box warnings, these drugs can cause suicidal ideation. So logically, if kids are being drugged up with antidepressants, and if in fact teen suicides are rising, then it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that we better stop drugging our kids to death.

Psychiatric drugs cause major changes in brain chemistry and in behavior. International drug regulators warn that the drugs we are doling out to kids can cause mania, psychosis, depersonalization, suicidal and even homicidal ideation. If we take a look at the school shooters that were under the influence of these drugs, you have to wonder why there hasn’t been a federal investigation into the correlation between drugs documented to cause violence and suicide and kids taking them who then became violent and suicidal. If even a handful of these school shooters were found to be taking PCP or smoking crack we would have headline news announcing a causal relationship between illicit drug use and acts of violence. But because these kids are taking legal drugs, prescribed by a psychiatrist for an alleged mental disorder, something we use to refer to as “childhood,” the powers that be don’t think it merits an investigation. Well we are all aware of how much Pharma spends on lobbying efforts. Regarding corporate media I would venture a guess that the reason they haven’t taken on the issue is simple: Big Pharma is now one of, if not the largest, advertisers in the United States, with $5 billion a year spent on direct to consumer advertising.

The rise of drug-induced acts of violence and suicide isn’t limited to our schools. In January 2009 it was reported that more of our military died of suicide than of combat deaths. Why is that? Could it be because our military are getting pumped full of psychiatric drugs? What Time Magazine referred to as “America’s Medicated Army?” Well if we are “medicating” our troops with antidepressants and antipsychotics, drugs documented to cause suicidal reactions, let’s put 2 and 2 together and state the obvious—these drugs are minimally a contributing factor.

Many people don’t realize that psychiatry’s love affair with the military dates back more than 90 years; During World War I the biggest problem the German military had was desertions—people leaving the front lines of the War. So the Germans turned to psychiatrists who came up with a solution: Electroshock. Psychiatrists theorized that if the shock soldiers experienced due to the brutalities of war made them desert the front lines, then another kind of shock—electroshock—could get them to be good little soldiers and willingly return to combat. Maybe because electroshock wiped out their memory, or maybe because soldiers chose to face the front lines rather than have another 450 volts of current tear through their brain, it worked. Psychiatry had come up with a winning strategy for the military to deal with reluctant soldiers and since that time the love affair between the two entities has never waned.

Today there are mobile psychiatric units that travel with the troops to ensure they’re drugged up as needed. And though they are not yet employing electroshock, as more Americans are made aware that these psychotropic drugs are killing our troops, don’t be surprised if sometime soon you pick up a newspaper and find psychiatrists promoting a new cure for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; Electroshock.

    Bulls-eye.
The only group that I know of that has been relentless in educating the public in larger and larger numbers and exposing psychiatry for the death dealing group that they have been since day one is the Citizens Commission On Human Rights.

And of course, Jim Marrs has been a front line soldier for freedom and truth for a long time.

    Excellent Video and article, Jim.

It’s terrifying that the huge “health care reform” legislation our new president is trying to ram through Congress will release a cornucopia of funding for “mental health” — mandatory screenings and of course paying for the psychotropic drugs that are the standard psychiatric solution for the invented illnesses they catalog but do not actually cure.

    Keep up the good work.

I need to know more about this. I know what your saying is true. I have watched many videos off youtube about the people that run the CCHR back in March this year. They tried to put me on antipsychotic drugs, apparently because I am Hypermanic. I didn’t take them, and it’s always been my position to fight these people. I will read ‘The myth of the chemical cure’ by Joanna Metcalfe, an active psychiatrist working in London who’s position is to demote these drugs…

interesting video, interesting bloke Jim Marrs….we need more people of his quality to get the real information out there….

I have always had concerns about kids’ developing brains and these drugs. I had not considered the military. Thanks for alerting me.

Another excellent commentary on the insanity of the drugging of our children and our nation. I spend 70% of my time as a therapist helping people off of their ADD/ADHD and anti-depressant drugs some of whom have been on them for 20 years. What they don’t realize until they are off them is that many of the unwanted conditions they came to me to help them with using alternative and complementary medicine was CAUSED by the drugs they were taking…anxiety, insomnia, agitation, loss of appetite for food and for life, loss if sexual drive and feelings of woodenness and isolation. Worse yet is our school system encourages this as they feel better grades in memorizing meaningless irrelevant facts is more important than the health of our children. The schools spend 1/2 the year studying for FCATS (in Florida) yet only get a half of semester in ALL of high school of health education!(and little to none real exercise). This is why I created the Clearminded Children program which has had 100% results in helping kids become medication free and to thrive at school and at home.(see http://www.clearmindedchildren.org).

Thank you CCHR for your continual commitment to informing the public of this horrific ongoing tragedy!

Excellent article by Jim Marrs! I’m glad he mentions our soldiers. They’re coming back from defending our country and being killed by people they thought they could trust, pseudo-doctors (psychiatrists).

Daily in the newspapers I read about the devastation that the psychiatric industry has thrust upon man and child. The unholy alliance between the big pharmaceutical companies and the psychiatric merchants of death are killing people for money and it’s like a twenty-first century mafia of sorts. Trusting people are being duped into taking killer psychiatric drugs. It’s so neatly arranged.

I’m glad that writers like Jim Marrs and CCHR are out on the front lines of this very real battle, shining a light on the evil-doers.

    Thank you!

Jim Marrs latest book: The Rise of the Fourth Reich discusses how our present society is beginning to look very much like Nazi Germany. He traces the social movement and names the very familiar families which were involved then and have reemerged now. His discussion of the Eugenics and Racial Purity and the emergence of Psychiatry and psychiatric drugs and methods of targeting populations are horrifying.

One of the Nazi statements was “If we get the children, we have them for life”. The purposed screening of pregnant women and families from birth, to preschool to school should concern us all.

Myself and my son have both been the victims of psychiatric targeting and I can tell you that there is no defense against this vicious machine. All the regulatory agencies which are SUPPOSED to protect consumers are part of the same machine.

I whole heartedly support CCHR in their endeavors, no one else is even acknowledging the issue.

  8. Thanks CCHR for getting the information out to the public. I love Jim Marrs! It is time we stop being sheep! The proof is out there, we just have to demand to see it. The proof is the number of deaths of those who have gone before us and believed in the false claims that psychiatry has pushed. Our loved ones who listened and took the pills and died. I certainly learned from my loved one’s passing.

apparently you have not experienced what our family has. If not for the medications for schizophrenia disorder our son would be dead. The paranoia is so great they refuse to eat, don’t even know who they are and are in a world that you cannot reach them. Some ppl take perscription meds and don’t really need them, but you are over looking the ones that do. But then again you would have to live with a person with a severe disorder to know this. Thanks be to the medications, they work.

  12. Joanne Cali says:

Dear Mary – the cavalier prescribing of these heavy drugs for a range of symptoms that stops at nothing – and will soon envelope ALL of mankind, who undoubtedly are acting from one disorder or another, or probably many disorders. In fact human behavior – natural behavior – IS a disorder, according to psychiatrists – though not all of them subscribe to the trend of drugging school children for not paying attention, prisoners for being prisoners, the elderly who are now eligible for medicaide and whose state-run staff want to make them more manageable. soldiers for being at the mercy of horrible circumstances, enforced vaccinating (anthrax vaccines, eg, leaves many with serious illnesses), foster children who, with no parents to say “No to Drugs”, have huge cocktails of prescriptions enforced on them.
Are prisoners who react to the horrors of war “disordered” or mentally ill? I say, no – the very few that enjoy it, are the disordered ones and the only ones who should be medicated.
Are foster children taken from their parents – no matter how incompetent – into the cold clinical state homes – “disordered” if that act upset or distressed? No -but they’re kicked while they’re down – labelled, drugged for life UNTIL they are of an adult age and medicaire will no longer pay.
Billions of state dollars are handed over to pharmaceutical cos via psychiatrists, and even Gen. practitioners, rather than spent on programs to help parents be better parents, keep kids off streets with programs, sports or otherwise, rehabilitate prisoners, give them enducations and jobs, etc. Let’s fix what’s really wrong – the environment 9 times out of 10 – not the victims of it – kids, elderly or otherwise.

  13. Dear Mary

I am wondering how old your son is and if he initially took, for example hash or any other ‘illegal’ substance. Or, was he medicated at all prior to his condition?

  14. Ray Mumme says:

    Thanks Jim Marrs,

I will forward this on to many folks. This is very unsettling. I was aware of legislation trying to be passed that requires all young school age children to go through psychiatric evaluation weather they need it or not. I strongly disagree, what happened to kids grabbing a stick and playing a game.

I have been working with a company that lets the body not only stay well but lets it naturally renew, regenerate and rebuild damaged tissue, organs, and cells it the body. It has been published with peer review studies that prove everything. An all natural dietary supplement that releases your own adult stem cells and lets the body do what it was designed to do. We have been able to make a difference with children & adults with ADHD, and many other genetic birth disorders, and conditions where normally drugs are used.
This is an all natural plant that grows wild and is going to be the turning point to wellness in the world.

  18. Grant Barton says:

So here are the problems. First off, saying that every kid who’s gone on a shooting spree has been on psychotropics is promoting bad science. Of course these kids are on psychotropics. They had mental problems, so they got put on drugs, not the other way around. You might as well say that hospitals are full of sick people, so they must be making people sick.

Second off, I’ve seen electroshock therapy. True, it comes from brutal origins, but these days the treatment is performed under anesthesia and the benefits are, quite frankly, undeniable. Read a study. Even the most refractory depression will evaporate over the course of a few treatments. Oh, and the memory problems associated with the treatment are minimal, and usually comparable to those caused by the depression in the first place. But don’t take my word for it, find some published scientific research.

  19. Grant Barton says:

One more thing-Access to guns is a well-studied risk factor for successful suicide, whereas the data on SSRIs(and it is just SSRIs, not all psychotropics) and suicide are fuzzier.

  22. I’m glad someone is speaking up for the soldiers at last. Why is the government not looking after them and protecting them from this psychiatric mayhem? Why is the government not protecting the citizenry from these mass-drugging brain-damaging quacks?

As for the ECT, I’m glad they finally got around to using anesthetics as it is excruciating. The brain damage is permanent. If is really harmless perhaps Grant Barton will volunteer for a course of, say, 20 shocks over the next few weeks just to demonstrate how harmless it is.

As for the psychotropics, they invariably make people worse. Most if not all mental problems relate to an underlying physical ailment in any case. For instance, almost ANY nutritional deficiency has depression as a symptom. This does not make a person mentally ill and psychotropics are not the answer: proper nutrition is. The diagnosis of someone as “mentally ill” is bogus, just as the mental illnesses are bogus and not based on proper science. Studies of psychiatric research papers are a good idea if only so people can see how poor most psychiatric “science” is.

I am amazed that psychiatry and the pharmaceutical giants get away with it. There is enough material here, enough death and destruction of lives and enough lying to bring about a criminal investigation into the whole scam.

There are also natural tranquillizers that have no side effects that are far safer than dangerous psychiatric drugs or having your brain seared by ECT, such as blue-green algae and the famous Cal-Mag formula but they are not addictive and not profitable so they get ignored. We need a broad, numerous grass-roots movement that will force these criminals to behave themselves.

  23. Another thought:

Given the overwhelming mass of evidence pointing to a massive psychiatric scam that has done untold harm to ordinary people, soldiers. kids and so forth, why IS the president trying to ram through legislation that will help them do further harm? It makes him look as if he is in the pocket of the pharmaceuticals and cares more about their welfare than the well-being of his own citizens!

  24. Sandy says:

I was a incest surivior and of course experienced some behavior problems. I was put on drugs and then my suicidal thoughts and attempts started. It wasn’t till I was off all those drugs that I could experiennce my grief about being abused and start living again. I have since then got fibromyalgia and every doctor wants to put me on more drugs… they get angry when I refuse. I will never go back to those drugs as my life became bearable without them. You have hit the nail on the head..
